Screens Manager: Now With Full Remote Device Management

Last Updated: 03/3/2025
When it comes to digital signage, remote device management (RDM) is a game-changer. Just as ScreenCloud empowers businesses to effortlessly manage their digital signage content from anywhere—replacing outdated methods like manually loading USB drives—RDM takes this a step further. With RDM, users can remotely perform critical device actions that would otherwise require in-person intervention, saving time, effort, and operational costs.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that full RDM capabilities are now available in Screens Manager and Studio. Previously, certain remote actions for ScreenCloud OS devices had to be handled separately through our RDM Console, but now you can use Screens Manager as the one place to manage and maintain the devices and displays that power your digital signage content.
Here’s a look at what’s new!
All the RDM Features for ScreenCloud OS Devices from the RDM Console Are Now Available in Screens Manager and Studio
We’ve brought all the features for ScreenCloud OS devices that previously were only available to use in our RDM Console, with the following features now available via the RDM pop-up that’s available from Screens Manager and Studio:

RDM Status:
- Online/Offline Status: It’s now possible to both see if ScreenCloud’s services are online or offline, as well as if our RDM services are online or offline. This is helpful in the rare scenario that our RDM services are blocked and you need to whitelist them so that your devices can access them.
Network:
- Network Information/Export: See all the information about the network that your device is currently connected to, such as IP address, MAC address, DNS, signal strength, and more, and easily export the network information for that device.
- Change Network: Easily switch to any wireless or wired network your device has access to, along with the ability to set advanced network settings like DNS, proxy, and NTP settings.
- Authentication Settings: If your device is using a wireless Enterprise network, you can easily update the authentication settings for your network connection.
Display Output:
- Display Information: See the information about the display your device is connected to, like its resolution, refresh rate, aspect ratio, and scaling.
- Change Settings: Easily change your device’s display settings, including resolution, refresh rate, and scaling.
Other Device Settings:
- Timezone: Easily view and update your device’s timezone.
- Hostname: Easily view and update your device’s hostname.
- OS Update: Easily choose which OS OTA update channel you want your device to use, so either the default Stable Channel, or the Canary channel if you want to test pre-release versions of ScreenCloud OS.
- Daily Restart: Enable or disable daily restarts and update the specific restart time for your device.
Health:
- Health Information/Export: See health information about your device, like uptime, memory usage, CPU and GPU temperature, and more, and easily export the network information for that device.
