Introducing PIXI—a new chapter in digital signage hardware

We’re excited to introduce our brand new digital signage media player, PIXI.

PIXI has been designed as an affordable media player option, but it’s still packed full of premium features, with the goal of providing the best value at its price point.

Why We Built PIXI

One of the key barriers to entry to digital signage for smaller businesses is a mixture of cost and ease of use.

While our customers love the simplicity of getting started with ScreenCloud, it’s hardware where they face challenges.

  • Choosing a budget option often means sacrificing on performance and features
  • Opting for a higher-priced device can delay rollout or limit screen placement

With PIXI, we’ve packaged the best specs we can offer yet kept the price as low as possible with the goal of making our digital signage software accessible to more people.

Premium Specs, Without the Premium Price Tag

In terms of the specs that ensure PIXI can provide the performance needed to power compelling digital signage, PIXI comes with a best-in-class 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, as well as 4K (upscaled from 1080p) display output, ensuring your content displays smoothly and beautifully and that you can cache a large amount of media files for offline playback.

Plug, Play, and You’re On

PIXI is so simple to set up that anyone can use it. Powered by our own custom operating system based on Android 14, our ScreenCloud player is pre-loaded, meaning once you connect your PIXI to the internet you can instantly start using it with ScreenCloud.

Unlike consumer media players, PIXI comes with remote device management (RDM) built-in, which allows you to easily manage your devices, taking actions like device reboot or troubleshooting without having to access the device in person.

Supported by the Full Power of ScreenCloud

All of this backed by our 24/7 professional support, the enterprise-grade security of ScreenCloud’s platform, and amazing design tools and app integrations for creating impactful digital signage content.

The Android based OS is fast, powerful and easy to get started.

Affordable Pricing

With a low price of $65 PIXI is significantly more affordable than competing digital signage media players such as those based on the Raspberry Pi or Amazon’s latest offering, the Amazon Signage Stick.

When to Choose PIXI

Despite PIXI being a great option for digital signage, our Station P1 Pro device powered by ScreenCloud OS still isn’t going anywhere.

While PIXI is a great option for smaller businesses, our ScreenCloud OS device is still the better choice for larger businesses and enterprises, with its more robust metal build and ability to handle more demanding environments, as well as support for enterprise networks and more advanced RDM and provisioning options.
